Since May 2014, I got transferred to a different department. I miss working in the marketing department but I’m thrilled that I’m now part of a two-woman department. Yes, it involves math but I am excited to learn new stuff. I know it’s awesome, so I have to brush up my BA 109 and review my diskarte moves when I did the project feasibility study.
I can finally go up to my old teacher and tell her I am now making feasibility studies for a living. And to think I used to hate making PFS when I was in college. But no regrets there.
One of the perks that come with my new job is traveling. I get to meet my work friends in Manila and shop for stuff. Last time I visited Manila, I hang out with Harold and toured the usual city hangouts. This time around, Glenda took me to Café Lidia, one of those hole-in-the-wall restos in Marikina. Cebu got lots of house-turned-restaurant places and it looks like it’s also getting popular in Manila.
Because of its good food and cozy ambiance, this intimate charming resto made it on a local TV show. They even have Mövenpick Resort and Spa Cebu‘s Manny O wines by the counter!
They serve their pasta in huge plates which comes with a side bread. The food reminds me of 30 Kitchen + Bar at The Gallery in Cebu while the ambiance has the same atmosphere as that of Cebu’s STK Ta Bay ni Paolito’s Seafood House.
We want to get desserts but we were too full to eat another bite. Since we had limited time, we promised to check out other delicious food stops disguising as carenderias on my next visit.
