Bluewater’s Balay Pasko Goes Online

Nov 27, 2020

Last November 7, Bluewater Resorts officially kicked off Pasko Sa Bluewater by lighting the Puno Ng Pag-Asa, a wordplay on “tree of hope” or “full of hope” in Filipino. The tree lighting was done together with the three properties: Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort, and Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort. This year’s Christmas theme is very fitting because its star-shaped Christmas lantern or parol symbolizes the victory of light over darkness–the symbol of hope.

Together with their tree lighting ceremony, they also opened their Balay Pasko. It is a resort tradition to show off their holiday sweets and treats which are uniquely handcrafted with select quality ingredients.⁣

What is Balay Pasko?

Balay Pasko

Balay Pasko showcases the talents of our chefs, boasting the best of Bluewater holiday offerings. The Balay Pasko houses the heart of the Filipino Christmas spirit. It represents our sharing and giving culture, our family and friends, the very best of what Bluewater can personally offer.⁣

Aside from the vouchers, Balay Pasko classic favorites like the Bluewater Chocoron, Cashew Roca, and Ensaymada are made available at the Bluewater Exclusives. Special gift boxes are also made available for gifting your loved ones.

Gift with a cause

Bluewater Maribago makes it even sweeter. Part of the revenue from the Balay Pasko will go to the children of Buyong Elementary School. This year, Bluewater Maribago will be supporting the module printing for the school children as part of their United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which falls under access to quality education and a sustainable community.

My personal favorite is the Tablea Chocolate Chip Cookies which strike a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness in every bite. I love that they half-dipped every cookie with premium chocolate and coat it with pistachio nuts. I already had 4 tin cans for the past 2 visits since the opening of their Balay Pasko.

Red Maleta

The Red Maleta story was born out of an idea to travel to new places, learn different cultures and understand the world better. Of course, bringing my red maleta along with me.
