After having dinner at Cosmic, I asked directions going to Alamat Filipino Cuisine before my second visit back to Agimat Foraging & Bar.
TBH, I got lost when I was looking for Alamat. Thankfully, locals were happy enough to point me in the right direction. I followed the street going to Alamat which will eventually lead me to Agimat.
The bar was located on the second floor. Unlike Agimat’s mangkukulam vibes, this one is more street indie. Their pièce de résistance is the craft beer station with beers named after the Philippine destinations and streets.
The craft beer counter is separated with a jeepney part material for a more street-style feel.
Alamat’s menu teases your taste buds from the familiar to the exotic complement their craft beers. Some of the items that I want to try are their Chicharon Salted Egg Chicken Skin that comes with a Pinoy Salsa, Stir-Fried Beef Sinigang Noodles (beef brisket tendons, roasted bone marrow udon noodles) and Papaitan Sa Cacao (cacao, goat innards, kimchi, sampalok).
The best thing being in Poblacion is to be able to promote Filipino concept bars and restaurants to the backpacking foreign nationals and locals.
